Fourth of July is just around the corner and America is already embracing for a holiday more expensive than last year.
The American Farm Bureau recently released its 2022 report and revealed that the cost of an Independence Day cookout rose over ten dollars from last year. American parties will cost $69.68 this year, rather than the 2021 total of $59.50, representing a staggering 17 percent increase.
The White House had tweeted in 2021 that costs were lower last summer compared to 2020. “According to the Farm Bureau, the cost of a 4th of July BBQ is down from last year. It’s a fact you must-hear(d). Hot dog, the Biden economic plan is working. And that’s something we can all relish,” said the White House in its tweet.
This holiday nearly all the items on the American Farm Bureau list have become more expensive. Many food items now cost more because of inflation and could keep heading higher before the year ends.
